Why it may be considered

To disguise persistent discolouration that whitening may not correct
To restore selected chipped or worn front teeth
To refine tooth shape, proportion or small spaces

What the treatment usually involves

A veneer is bonded to the front surface of a tooth. The amount of tooth preparation varies, and some cases require a small amount of enamel to be removed. Shade, shape and bite are considered before the final ceramic is made.

Important considerations

Veneers are not suitable for every tooth or bite.
Any active decay or gum disease needs attention first.
Prepared teeth may always require a veneer or another restoration in future.
